International Work Experience
Over the last forty years, Lehmann has lived and worked in various countries, experiencing different architectural approaches, and immersing himself in different debates and cultures:

| 1980s | Travels for the first time to the United States, Canada, Japan, and Eastern European countries (before the fall of the Wall) |
| 1988-1991 | Moves from Germany to the United Kingdom,
lives and works in London. Works with James Stirling & Michael Wilford Architects, London |
| 1990- | Travels for the first time to Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Mexico, and Morocco |
Being a university teacher has allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of how cities work. He started researching China’s urbanization in 1991.

| 2009 | Works as professor in Singapore and Germany: Munich |
| 2016-2018 | Professor in the United Kingdom: Portsmouth and London |
| 2018- | Moves from London to live and work in the United States: Las Vegas and Los Angeles, professor at UNLV |
| 2027 | Returns to Australia for a sabbatical in Perth; builds in Bali, Indonesia |
Since 1993, he delivered over 700 public presentations in 44 countries.
