Lehmann is a sought-after public speaker with a global platform built over more than 35 years. He has presented his research and design work at conferences, symposia, and major events across 44 countries — delivering more than 700 public presentations, including over 150 invited keynote addresses.

Keynote venues have included MoMA New York, the Venice Architecture Biennale, Harvard University, the University of Oxford, University of Manchester, UC Berkeley, TU Delft, Architectural Association School London, the University of Sydney, National University of Singapore, the UK Royal Society, the American Institute of Architects, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, Tsinghua University, TU Munich, TU Berlin, TU Vienna, KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, Milano Polytechnic University, the Urban Land Institute, the Annual UNESCO Conference, ISOCARP Conference, and TED — where he has delivered multiple talks.

He has served on scientific organising committees for over 50 international conferences across twenty countries, including for the Venice Architecture Biennale and UNESCO conferences.

From 2016 to 2018, he organised and moderated Urban Breakfast: The Regeneration of Portsmouth — a series of high-level civic discussions on the urban renewal of Portsmouth, UK. The series resulted in the publication Urban Regeneration: A Manifesto (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019).

Major media outlets worldwide have covered his work, including CNN, BBC News, The New York Times, Bloomberg CityLab, Forbes, France 24, CNBC, PBS, ZDF, RTL, Sky News, USA Today, and TED, as well as institutional coverage by McKinsey & Company, IBM, BASF, and UN-Habitat.
